| Thousands
of miles between us?
No problem! Most projects do not require meeting
in person.

In
fact, with globalization, this is fast becoming the most common way to do
business. My last two clients didn't meet me at all throughout their website
creation, but except
by some DVDs sent by mail, the rest was all achieved through online communications.
I live in Connecticut, but maintenance for my clients from Florida goes with
no stress - it's actually exactly the same as I would do for a local client,
unless there's the need to meet in person, what's becoming more uncommon each
day. For us web designers this is great news! For clients, well, that's great also, as the best professionals can be deployed without geographic restrictions. |

In my opinion, it may even speed processes,
as physical meetings can sometimes take to longer waste of time than expected,
considering traveling time and unexpected events. Of course, exchanging image/video
files is better achieved if the client has high-speed connection, but even when
not, sending a CD/DVD with digital files or photos/tapes by mail is pretty fast
when inside the US. Payment (in US currency) is also not an issue -- I accept checks, deposits and payment with credit cards through PayPal (in this case, an e-mail with a link to pay through PayPal's web site provides a simple, safe and fast way to make a payment). |
